A former employee shared in a review "AON company doesn't value its staff. You are treated as a tool that is easly replaced nothing more. Even if you are a talented employee. Management tends to be threatened by that."

Pensions Administrator (Former Employee) says"staff behave how they want (bad hygiene, condescending attitudes, general rudeness) and managers don't do anything about it. Good luck if you have mental health issues caused by aon, HR, managers and ops managers will lie, gaslight you, not listen to corporate health to make the situation better and actively make you worse by refusing to deal with the situation, very immature and poisonous place to be. You dont get any proper training just on the job as they call it aka you'll sit being ignored by the socially awkward teams that make no effort unless you do first and you constantly have to ask for help and training. Awful communication in general, they cover up and hide alot from staff, the IT is shocking, systems always going down and the servers can't handle the databases so its stressful trying to work with snailpace network. Avoid like the plague.none.everything"
Financial Analyst (Current Employee) says"I was denied FMLA eligible benefits due to leadership bias attitude toward older workers & people of color. I was subjected to bullying from managers. I was prevented from returning to work after dr cleared me only to find out my salary was reduced. A team of African American workers were denied same salary & benefits in same job of non people wof color for yearsBenefitsDepts work together to manipulate laws & manage employes out the company"
N/A (Former Employee) says"This company doesn't value its staff. You are treated as a tool that is easly replaced nothing more. Even if you are a talented employee. Management tends to be threatened by that. There is little to no movement in thelearningManagement is deplorable"
Telefonista (Former Employee) says"Usureros con las personas, mal ambiente, penoso trabajarNingunoTodos"
Project Manager (Former Employee) says"Cut cut cut constantly cutting jobs or shipping them off shore it’s all who you know and never about work quality. Very political and dead weight Best is to do little and lay low until your job is eliminated"
Commercial Broker (Current Employee) says"No rewards or recognition of employees whatsoever . We are disposable tools to higher ends. Not only we are being paid in the lowest brackets possible, we are understaffed, overworked and as of recently, our pay is reduced by 20%"
Unemployed (Former Employee) says"This company is very unstable. They treat employees as though they are disposable. They have a history of bringing in poor upper management which trickles down on the stronger employees, showing very little appreciation for them and frequent scrutiny. This pushes the good employees out as they show no support for even the most effective and efficient employees."
Regional Manager (Former Employee) says"If the Head of HR, English lady was a little supportive, it would have been a brilliant role, as the businesses bought in, which is never easy, and the role was gaining momentum across APJ. The HR team lacked maturity, and thought leadership, more an ostrich when it came to resolution with HQ and Chicago. I would recommend working for AON, but not with HR as a partner unless the lady has left. No issues with local Singaporeans, great folks as always, I just wish the Regional Head HR had done what she was being paid to do, instead of number crunching, and making herself out to be an ostrich. Singapore leadership, brilliant, however HQ in Chicago, a little backward, fair bit of politic, and many shake-ups. I would not recommend working here, the attrition rate is too high, with little care for consequence on families, and zero support, after the event."
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"Based on your manager work ethics she/he run folks to the door. Very unprofessional. HR department while filing complaints provides more respect for employees and provides results."
HUMAN RESOURCE CONSULTANT (Former Employee) says"The HR Consultant Managers there are under educated, so they are intimidated by anyone starts there with a Master's degree or Bachelor's degree or above. If they find out that you obtain one of these degrees they will be make sure that you do not succeed with the company and get fired. If a person has a relative who works higher up for AON, they will receive special favoritism."
Benefits Specialist (Former Employee) says"Aon cares nothing about the employees only there revenue and calls received in that call center benefits are costly and hard to get vacation time and the managers are all focused on bringing you down on a daily basis no support or education 1 day training for new things to learn or less just put you on the phones without a clue to handle new situations that arise."
Worker (Former Employee) says"Worst place in the world to work management has no idea what he’s doing then hire his managers because he wants to go out on his boat those managers laugh in your face as they provide you with new policies they just came up with specially the new manager don’t know where he came from but does nothing but try to intimidate his employees"
Underwriting Specialist (Current Employee) says"Recent lay off, on the job training, no set regulations. Answers from managers change every day, no consistency. Outdated technology, no automation. Outsourcing of work"
CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Former Employee) says"This place is a good place to work and make money but sometimes the calls are not the best. Prepare to be micromanaged like you've never been micromanaged before."
CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"Working in AON Integramark is the worst decision you could ever make. Management is always "in a meeting" and whenever you need help there is never any help to get, At best you'll get a response 5 hours later. Management is only good for babysitting every single employee but not fulfilling their portion of the job. every change that they make is for the worse and not the better. if you ever consider working in AON good luck cause you're going to need it. they need a change in management someone who knows what they are doing and not run a management style that likes to micromanage every single detail in the office."
CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"The new office manager is terrible, she loves to micromanage and manipulate everything around her. If you don't do everything the way she wants it to be done, you're basically walking on thin ice. No one in that company does their job. When you ask for help good luck it can take more than 5 minutes for help, or they forgot to give you a response and help you 5 hours later. Their words are worth no more than dirt on the ground. The way that they handle their business is terrible. The time that they take to process claims is extremely slow, They are always updating and changing the way they do things and instead of the changes being good they are always for the worse. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT APPLY AND WORK AT AON. You can seriously find a similar position that will pay you more than what they'll pay you at AON."
Claims Examiner II (Former Employee) says"this is the worst job i have ever had. i would never recommend this company to anyone. management is poor. training is sub par. the work load is crazy. the people are not friendly."
BENEFITS ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST (Current Employee) says"The lack of training for this position goes with out saying. Most training time would be less than a week. Procedures changed often. Once you learned it one way it would soon change. They discharged many employees without just cause."
Hannah Leonard says"I wish it were possible to give 0 stars. Not only did the delay in receiving this health insurance lead to being unable to visit a doctor upon moving to the country, causing me to almost become hospitalised and continue to suffer health problems over a year later, but they really try and suck every cent from you for terrible coverage. I missed a payment one month and instead of alerting me, the emails went to an account I did not have access to because they didn't set my account correctly. I did not notice the fine grow until bayliff type letters came through. I set up a payment plan and paid the full amount, almost six times the original size and am still being charged "administration" costs despite not being a customer for over a year. Again, the total is going up despite proof that I do not need to pay this. Nothing about this insurance was good, I've had nothing but stress, pain, sickness, misery and fines from AON and truthfully they will take as much money as they can from you. Run away."
Shaun NCFC Pride of Anglia says"These lot administer the various defunct Smurfit Kappa UK defined benefit pension plans. When you retire, do NOT expect to draw your pension anytime soon after. In fact, you could be waiting up to a year. I'm currently 6 months in after retiring early. As the former FOC at Smurfit Kappa Norwich, Union members that had retired were and still are, consistently being let down by their slow and incompetent approach in dealing with the member's pensions. I am now in debt and trying to survive doing part-time work, at minimum wage. Smurfit Kappa UK pension trustees and management are equally to blame in allowing this shambolic company to administer the schemes. Avoid doing any business with Aon! Solidarity with the MUFC fans too!"
Charles Hayward says"This company is a scam. Their adjusters will find every loophole to not cover expenses. Our cruise was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic and their adjuster found that covid is not listed as an acceptable reason and decline the claim."
Kirtland Smith says"Because of ACA we were forced by former employer to use Aon for YSA admin.....a complete FAIL from staff support to a 3rd world website. We have wasted hours and hours trying to sort out their messes over the years! AVOID if possible."
Carole Weinstein says"They scheduled an appointment (2 hour window)...never called. Very unprofessional and uncaring. Will not bother to reschedule."
Dee C says"Had an appointment to review AT&T Retiree ins plans. AON failed to keep appointment, or to contact me. When I called them all they could do was to reschedule. They claimed they called and their call was refused. No call had been received. This was the 2nd year with problems, last year they rescheduled an appointment without any input from me or contacting me. Just rescheduled it for after open enrollment. When it would be of no use. There had been a time they were good but not anylonger."
Steve says"AON had sent me detailed information relating to their company and had set up an appointment to review with me their services. I called them to reschedule the appointment. They told me I wasn't in their database. I explained that they had my name/address and phone number and now they couldn't find me? I asked for a Supervisor. They told me that it would be 5-10min. I told them good-bye. Two weeks later I called back and scheduled an appointment with a Benefits Advisor after providing them a wealth of information about myself. The day/time that was scheduled came and went with no one calling me. Just called them to complain and asked right away for Supervisor to tell them what happened. The person told me to please hold. After waiting 10minutes I told the person forget about me and don't ever call me again. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH AON. Worst company ever!!!!!"
Ari Sari says"Not good service, they put you through a funding company where you find yourself with paying cancelation fee, your credit been touched and AON gets zero responsibility on this."
Y Y says"They can define whatever they want and translate the policy terms in any ways which benefit them. Do not choose this company."
Londoner says"AON administers the employee benefits provided by my employer. The advice given to employees on their benefits portal regarding the same is drastically incorrect, incomplete, circular and horiffically misleading. Their submission request procedure initially is smooth and the only plus side of their service, despite the fact that their portal is buggy, constantly logs you out and is difficult to use. Their employee benefits helpline is staffed by a bunch of totally unsupported customer service people who have no idea what they are talking about. On the chat version the service crashes and the customer service agent takes ages to just say not my problem call someone up on the advice line. On the same, they then supposedly and incorrectly just log your query each time you call, and never ever ever follow up at all as agreed, let alone within the 2 day response times constantly advised. Total waste of time. Their complaints line is even worse staffed, by people who are polite but even more useless and misinformed. They appear totally incapable of even speaking in plain English even when repeatedly requested to do so, because their statements are exhorbitantly long-winded and totally incomprehensible and meaningless. Having AON as my employer's benefits provider has caused me to lose days to a week or more of productively employed time trying to solve errors and issues caused by AON's incompetence. By all means use them if you don't mind throwing your emoloyees' productivity and employment/employer satisfaction totally out the window."
Esther Þorvalds says"Airline cancelled the flights due to COVID19, which is exactly the reason why I bought the insurance. I did not get a refund and this was their excuse: “It has been verified with your travel supplier that you have either received a monetary disbursement for the full value of your travel arrangements or a credit was offered.“ I only got travel credit that’s valid for a limited time and can only be used in my name which means I can’t sell it and I since I live far far away will never be able to use it. Lost money. Do not buy insurance with them."
Carolina Handal says"We purchased tickets to London for March 2020. A couple of days before our trip, the travel ban went into effect due to covid-19. We obviously had to cancel our trip. I have tried repeatedly to get a refund. First I told them that one of the reasons I couldnt travel was because of the travel ban, they said that wasnt covered. Then I told them that if I did travel, I had to self quarantine upon arrival and that isnt covered. My Husband then lost his job about 2 weeks after the scheduled trip and they said that loss of job is covered but when I sent in the letter they said he had to have lost his job before the trip. This is the first and last time I purchase travel insurance. They are the worst to deal with and have no sympathy for what we are all going through. We are now stuck paying a credit card for a Trip we couldnt take. AON is the worst!"
Amanda Franklin says"I only rated them 1 star because I had to in order to post this review. In November, my husband and I decided we would take a trip to Korea for his 40th birthday. We purchased tickets through a company called Hopper, we also purchased trip insurance for an additional $20.00, in the event we could not travel for some unforeseen reason. Fast-forward to the present, Korea is on a level 3 travel warning advisory, and per the U.S. Embassy in Korea, there is a mandatory two-week quarantine for anyone traveling into the country. We were supposed to leave for our trip on May 16th and return the 28th, but because of Korea’s travel quarantine we would be stuck in quarantine for the entire trip (May 18th-June 1st). I contacted Hopper first to ask them for my money back because I purchased the trip insurance. Hopper said that refunds were at the discretion of the airlines. I then called United Airlines who informed me that I would have to go through Hopper. I contacted Hopper again, and they stated that I purchased the travel insurance through a third party called Aon Insurance. I contacted them and filed my claim electronically per their request. I explained how we could not go because of Korea’s quarantine, I complied with their request for a bank statement and receipt for the plane tickets. They denied my claim because they said that they do not consider COVID-19 a part of their illness coverage. I have asked for the claims representative or a manager to reach out to me and have yet to hear from them. At this point we are out almost $3000.00 for a trip we cannot take due to travel advisories, and quarantines.I have never purchased travel insurance before, but for our first international trip and the price I thought it was important. Had I known that COVID-19 was going to become an issue, or that Aon was going to be impossible to work with in times like this, I would have never purchased the tickets… we would have vacationed in Florida or Hawaii WITHOUT travel insurance."
Shane says"They sponsor man united training ground, outdated and now being left behind in that too. They support the glazers in asset stripping and destroying the club. No morals, no respect for history. #glazersout #boycottaon"
Ben Gerald says"#Glazersout"
Geoff says"This company is responsible with the Glazers for leeching Manchester United football club dry. You should be ashamed to be party with the Glazer family Imagine an insurance and risk company associating itself with owners as financially incompetent as the Glazers. If you align with incompetence. You are seen as incompetent. #GlazersOut #BoycottAon"
Leo Naylor-Orchard says"Disgraceful company They also fund Glazer scum"
Raj Singh says"I would give a zero if it was possible. Anybody funding the Glazers deserve this treatment. Funding a football team so that they can continue to pay interest in their debts. Awful."
Daniel Johnson says"Glazers out .company is trash dont waste your money"
